‘Roadha Bazaar’ Set to Open in Hulhumale’ Ahead of Ramadan

Residents of Hulhumale’ will have a new shopping and community experience starting tomorrow, as the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) prepares to open the much-anticipated ‘Roadha Bazaar’ at Hulhumale’ Central Park.

The bazaar is part of HDC’s broader efforts to enhance Ramadan preparations by making essential goods, festive items, and food options more accessible to the public. Timed just ahead of the holy month, the event aims to bring together vendors, families, and small businesses in a lively, open-air setting.

‘Roadha Bazaar’ is being organized by HDC in collaboration with Highrise. According to HDC, the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life in Hulhumale’ by ensuring that services and amenities are easily available to residents, especially during significant periods such as Ramadan.

The bazaar will run from tomorrow through Saturday, offering visitors multiple opportunities to explore the stalls over three days.

The event will take place at Hulhumale’ Central Park, a central and easily accessible location for residents and visitors alike. The bazaar will operate in two daily sessions:

  • Afternoon session from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

  • Evening session from 8:00 pm to 11:30 pm

These time slots are designed to accommodate families and working individuals, allowing people to visit either before or after iftar.

Visitors can expect a diverse shopping experience, with 50 stalls set up at the venue. The bazaar will feature a broad selection of products, including kitchenware, home décor items, clothing, hardware essentials, and a variety of food options suitable for Ramadan.

From practical household needs to festive treats and snacks, the bazaar aims to cater to a wide audience. For many residents, it also presents a convenient way to prepare for Ramadan without having to travel far.

In a statement, HDC reiterated its goal of making Hulhumale’ a comfortable and well-serviced urban area. The corporation emphasized that initiatives like ‘Roadha Bazaar’ are part of its ongoing efforts to create a pleasant living environment where residents can access essential services within their own community.

As Ramadan approaches, events such as this are expected to add to the festive atmosphere while supporting local vendors and encouraging community engagement.
