Maldivian students seeking international higher education now have the opportunity to apply for scholarships in India, Egypt, Pakistan, Thailand and Morocco through the Ministry of Higher Education's Kuri portal.
The scholarship programmes cover a wide range of academic levels, including diploma, bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies, giving students access to educational opportunities across several respected international institutions.
India Offers Scholarships Across Multiple Academic Levels
Marwadi University in Gujarat, India, is accepting applications under its Scholarship India 2026 programme. The scholarships are available for diploma, bachelor's, master's and PhD programmes across various fields of study.
Students interested in applying for the Indian scholarship programme must submit their applications by 31 July.
Al-Azhar University Opens 22 Scholarship Opportunities
In Egypt, Al-Azhar University has announced 22 scholarships for eligible Maldivian students.
The available scholarships include:

Applications for these programmes will remain open until 6 August.
Pakistan Invites Applications in Seven Academic Fields
The Pakistan High Commission is also accepting applications for scholarships at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU).

Morocco has allocated 20 scholarships for Maldivian students pursuing higher education.
The scholarships are distributed as follows:

Applications for the Moroccan scholarships must be submitted by 30 July.
Master's Degree Opportunities Available in Thailand
Scholarship opportunities are also available for students wishing to pursue master's degree programmes in Thailand.
According to the announcement, applications for the Thai scholarships will remain open until August, giving prospective applicants additional time to complete their submissions.
Required Documents for Scholarship Applications
Students applying for any of the scholarship programmes are required to submit several supporting documents through the Higher Education Ministry's Kuri portal.
