President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his commitment to fulfill all campaign promises made to the residents of Narudhoo, Shaviyani Atoll, emphasizing the government’s focus on creating opportunities and implementing projects tailored to local needs.
During his ongoing tour of the atoll, the President highlighted the administration’s efforts to address key infrastructure challenges and enhance public facilities for the community.
On Wednesday, President Muizzu inaugurated three new projects and signed agreements for two additional initiatives. Among the significant updates, he confirmed that a four-storey school building is on track for completion and will be handed over to the community later this month.
In the sports sector, an announcement has been made to recruit contractors to construct a modern football stadium. Work on the facility is expected to begin later this year, promising a high-quality venue for local athletes and enthusiasts.
Acknowledging the island’s pressing infrastructure needs, the President confirmed that both the sewerage system and harbour projects will be handed over to Fenaka Corporation next month. Officials have assured residents that these projects will be expedited for timely completion.
“Improving essential services and infrastructure is a top priority,” President Muizzu stated, highlighting the government’s commitment to enhance quality of life on the island.
Looking ahead, the President outlined several initiatives scheduled for next year, aimed at further developing Narudhoo:

ނަރުދޫގައި ކުރިއަށްދާނެ އަދި ހިންގުނު މަސައްކަތްތައް:
- ސްކޫލު ޢިމާރާތް: މި މަސް ނިމުމުގެ ކުރިން ނަރުދޫ ސްކޫލުގެ ހަތަރު ބުރީގެ އިމާރާތް ނިންމަވައި ހަވާލުކުރައްވާނެ ކަމަށް ރައީސް ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ.
- ކުޅިވަރުގެ މަޝްރޫޢުތައް: ރަނގަޅު ފެންވަރެއްގެ ފުޓުބޯޅަ ދަނޑެއް އެޅުމަށް ކޮންޓްރެކްޓަރުން ހޯދުމުގެ އިޢުލާނުކޮށްފައިވާ ކަމަށާއި، މި މަސައްކަތް މި އަހަރުގެ ފަހުކޮޅު ފެށޭނެ ކަމަށް ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ.
- ބިންހެޔޮކުރުމުގެ މައްސަލަތައް: ރަށުގެ ނަރުދަމާ ނިޒާމުގެ މަސައްކަތާއި، ބަނދަރުގެ މަސައްކަތް އަވަސްކުރުމަށްޓަކައި އަންނަ މަހު ފެނަކަ ކޯޕަރޭޝަނާ ހަވާލުކުރައްވާނެ ކަމަށް ރައީސް ޔަގީންކޮށްދެއްވިއެވެ.
- މި އަހަރުގެ މަޝްރޫޢުތައް: ބުދަ ދުވަހު ނަރުދޫގައި ވަނީ ތިން މަޝްރޫޢެއް އިފްތިތާޙުކޮށް، އިތުރު ދެ މަޝްރޫޢެއްގެ އެއްބަސްވުމުގައި ސޮއިކޮށްފައެވެ.
