Fathimath Shaya Zaheer, Aishath Shaba, and Ahmed Shaim Riza emerged as the top winners in the 37th National Quran Recitation Competition, showcasing exceptional mastery of the Quranic text.
This year’s prestigious event, held from September 19 to 26, attracted 1,037 participants from 119 institutions across the Maldives, highlighting the growing dedication to Quranic education nationwide.
The participants competed across three main categories:

Hafiz category: 31 contestants
In the Hafiz category, Fathimath Shaya Zaheer from Tadrisul Quruanul Kareem secured first place, followed by Abaan Ibrahim (Arabiyya School) and Ismail Izuan Ibrahim (Rehendhi School).
For the recitation off text category, Ahmed Shaim Riza of Laamu Atoll Council took the top prize, with Mohamed Saai Mubarak (Centre for Zamaanee Quran Class) and Akif bin Ibrahim Mohamed (Arabiyya School) finishing second and third.
In the recitation from memory category, Aishath Shaba representing Shaviyani Atoll Council led the winners, while Fathima binth Mohamed and Areek Haadhy Mohamed, both from Arabiyya School, claimed the following spots.
The institutions category recognized the outstanding contributions of Arabiyya School, Shaviyani Atoll Council, and Laamu Atoll Council.
The winners were honored in a special ceremony where President Dr Mohamed Muizzu personally presented the awards. Each champion received the President’s Plaque of Honour, a cash prize of MVR 100,000, and special scholarships for PhD studies in any field at universities worldwide.

37 ވަނަ ޤައުމީ ޤުރުއާން ކިޔެވުމުގެ މުބާރާތުގެ އެއްވަނަ ފާތިމަތު ޝާޔާ ޒާހިރު، އާއިޝަތު ޝަބާ، އަދި އަޙްމަދު ޝައިމް ރިޒާ ހޯއްދަވައިފިއެވެ.
މި އަހަރުގެ މުބާރާތް ބާއްވާފައިވަނީ ސެޕްޓެންބަރު 19 އިން 26 ވަނަ ދުވަހުގެ ނިޔަލަށެވެ. މުބާރާތުގައި ޖުމްލަ 119 އިދާރާއަކުން 1,037 ބައިވެރިން ބައިވެރިވިއެވެ.
މީގެތެރެއިން 582 ބައިވެރިން ބައިވެރިވީ ބަލައިގެން ކިޔެވުމުގެ ބައިގައެވެ. 424 ބައިވެރިން ބައިވެރިވީ ނުބަލާ ކިޔެވުމުގެ ބައިގައެވެ. އަދި 31 ބައިވެރިން ބައިވެރިވީ ޙާފިޒުންގެ ބައިގައެވެ.

ކާމިޔާބީ ހޯދި ފަރާތްތަކަށް ރައީސްގެ ޝަރަފުގެ ފިލާ، 100,000 (އެއް ލައްކަ) ރުފިޔާގެ ނަޤުދު އިނާމެއް އަދި ދުނިޔޭގެ ކޮންމެ ޤައުމަކުން، ކޮންމެ ރޮނގަކުން ވެސް ޕީއެޗްޑީ ހެދުމަށް ޚާއްސަ ސްކޮލަރޝިޕެއް ލިބިފައިވެއެވެ.
މީގެ އިތުރުން 75,000 ރުފިޔާ، އަދި އިސްލާމިކް މިނިސްޓްރީ އާއި ޤައުމީ ޤުރުއާން މަރުކަޒު، މޯލްޑިވްސް ޒަކާތް ހައުސް، އަދި އިސްލާމިކް ޑިވެލޮޕްމެންޓް ފަންޑުގެ ފަރާތުން ސެޓްފިކެޓާއި ޓްރޮފީ ވަނީ ހަވާލުކޮށްފައެވެ. އަދި މޯލްޑިވްސް ޙައްޖު ކޯޕަރޭޝަންގެ ސްޕޮންސަރޝިޕްގެ ދަށުން ޢުމްރާ ދަތުރެއްގެ އިނާމު ވެސް ވަނީ އެފަރާތްތަކަށް ލިބިފައެވެ.
